No man lives for bread, wine—or business—alone. So for planners seeking the perfect retreat for food and wine loving executives, Hotel Healdsburg combines all three. The hotel rests on the town square of Healdsburg, California, at the heart of Sonoma County wine country 70 miles north of San Francisco.

Delegates check in at a curving steel desk bathed in sunshine from skylights overhead. Upstairs, the 55 guest rooms and suites indulge them with six-foot soaking tubs, walk-in showers, Frette bathrobes, fine linens, goose-down comforters,
Tibetan floor coverings, and French doors leading to balconies with views of the countryside or central courtyard garden.

More cutting-edge style accompanies the presentation of progressive American cuisine at Chef Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen, the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant. Catered events draw from the same talented chefs and palette of fresh, locally produced products and premium Sonoma wines. Groups come together outside on the courtyard’s Event Green or inside at the Screened Porch, Rare Wine Library, Carriage House, or Grange Hall. The latter, the largest indoor space, accommodates groups of up to 80 with full audiovisual capabilities.

Hotel Healdsburg’s combination of stylish meeting rooms, fine dining, guest rooms, gardens, pool, and spa make an ideal base from which to explore the town’s historic plaza of shops and restaurants—not to mention some of the finest vineyards and wineries in the world.

Hotel Healdsburg is quite the find for foodies and wine connoisseurs. The hotel and town is the ideal incentive spot for high-level executives or top sales associates. I stayed here for vacation for three days in August 2008 and had the full experience and couldn't have asked for more. The treatments at the spa were amazing. Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen restaurant delivered two of the best dining experiences of my life- one for lunch and the other for dinner. Service is top-notch. And although I went here for vacation, as a planner I had my eye on the meeting space which, while small, would be perfect for intimate gatherings, smaller groups and incentive trips. There is a very quaint outdoor courtyard area and the lobby itself could serve as a nice reception area. The small private room off the bar would be a great spot for a morning board meeting. The staff was eager to please, warm and friendly. The spa and pool area is a must for your attendees. All in all, I highly recommend Hotel Healdsburg both for vacation or for a small group.

Kudos to you and your staff. The Board of Directors universally noted how much they enjoyed the annual meeting. One member asked to stay another week. Another called it their favorite hotel in the world. Thanks for satisfying our every need.

Hotel Healdsburg is celebrating the grand opening of Relish Culinary Center in the idyllic Sonoma County town by offering special events and classes for hotel guests and meeting planners in conjunction with the new state-of-the-art demonstration cooking facility.

Relish Culinary Adventures has long been the only "roving" culinary program that brings together talented chefs and fabulous cuisine at a variety of locations for hands-on and demonstration cooking experiences. The May opening of Relish Culinary Center's eco-friendly teaching kitchen across the street from Hotel Healdsburg marks the progam's expansion and further establishes Healdsburg as a premier food and wine destination.

Hotel Healdsburg will continue its long-standing relationship with Relish Culinary by collaborating on special events at the new Center, as well as offering private cooking parties for groups and customized corporate team building classes that capitalize on and introduce visitors to the region's food and wine.

The inaugural cooking event at Relish Culinary Center will be a technique cooking class led by renowned master chef Charlie Palmer of Hotel Healdsburg's Dry Creek Kitchen restaurant. Food lovers can expand their culinary education as Chef Palmer demonstrates rendering and searing techniques to prepare a dinner menu that features delicious and easy-to-reproduce-at-home dishes. The sumptuous dinner, including Bacon-wrapped Scallops with Creamy Mascarpone Polenta and Roasted Pepper Salad and Spice-crusted Duck Breast with Toasted Pine Nut Couscous, Campari Rhubarb and Orange-Scented Fennel, will be paired with local wines. Hotel Healdsburg guests can book the class as part of an overnight package that includes a copy of Chef Palmer's latest cookbook "Practical Guide to the New American Kitchen" and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the School Garden Network.

Hotel Healdsburg is also offering a special Relish rate through July 31st for all Relish Culinary Center class participants that stay at the luxury hotel.
