Poised on a mountainside high above Tucson and the Sonoran Desert, JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa blends Southwestern traditions and twenty-first-century comfort into a premier convention resort—where the attractions include a world-class spa, 27 holes of golf, six restaurants, and 88,000 square feet of function space.
The grand Starr Circle entrance, dedicated to attendee arrivals, hints at the splendor within. Two ballrooms have ceilings that soar 19 feet; the nearly 20,000-square-foot Arizona Ballroom remains southern Arizona’s largest, complemented by the 14,670-square-foot Tucson Ballroom. Both ballrooms and their spacious foyers showcase spectacular city, mountain, and desert views. Six breakout rooms with 600-square-foot terraces host smaller gatherings, while three larger terraces seat up to 1,000 guests for alfresco luncheons.
On-site destination experts design activity programs from a staggering list of options. Attendees can ride horseback over Starr Pass, relax at a cowboy cookout under the stars, or rally their teammates during a teepee-building or calf-penning contest. Excursions range from a Wild West adventure at Old Tucson Studios to bargain hunting in Nogales, Mexico. Golf events take place on three Arnold Palmer–designed, nine-hole courses. For the last word in pampering, Hashani Spa offers specialty treatments that incorporate desert botanicals.
With award-wining chef Melissa Kelly’s Mediterranean cuisine at Primo, and a new water park opening in 2008, Starr Pass stays committed to providing groups with one of the Southwest’s most memorable resort experiences.

The Starr Pass is a beautiful property. Our President's Club attendee's loved the resort. The hotel is close by the airport and easy to drive to. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. The chef was very willing to work with our budget and create an awesome experience for our group.
I highly recommend this property for your next incentive or convention group.

Lovely property - beautifully located. They need to work on their ability to handle a large group that requires many breakouts - definitely needs improvement. Friendly staff, but many are very young and appear to lack the exceptional work ethic and professionalism that I would expect from a flagship JW property.

Stunning location. I visited the property when it was under construction and then again for a site. Perfect for a larger group, a little impersonal for a smaller one. I found the rooms on the small side - surprising. Beautiful outdoor patio, lots of pretty places for events. Meeting spaces are enormous and most don't have natural light - a problem for us. Tucson is an up and coming place with lots to do. Surrounding natural areas are worth the trip all by themselves. Aiirport service to Tucson keeps getting better and better. Check it out!
